Meet the Tuesday Night Scene's co-host, Bruce Enloe! Bruce Enloe is a singer –songwriter performing original songs that are equal parts folk, Americana and Beatle influenced pop. Bruce was born and raised in Bryan-College Station, Texas; the town where Lyle Lovett met Robert Earl Keen… He has since added California, Europe and Canada to his list of both musical influences and travels. After several years fronting the Burning Sensations, Kemptville Ontario’s largest band, he is now recording his third album and striking out on his own for a series of listening room style acoustic shows.

Meet the Tuesday Night Scene's co-host, Justin Ralph! Known for his powerful voice and vibrant stage presence, Justin Ralph is a singer-songwriter whose opera background and country passion always make for a unique and exciting live show. With influences from early Americana and Canadiana music to Hank Williams and Johnny Cash, his passionate performances have people taking notice across the Ottawa Valley. A recovering opera singer, Justin pursued a successful career as a tenor before setting aside his tuxedo for a banjo and a plaid shirt in order to write and perform the music closest to his heart. With haunting vocals accompanied by the moody picking of his banjo, Justin's original story telling songs evoke the old dirt roads of rural Ontario and the souls that once travelled on them.

Meet Tyler Kealey, our featured artist for March 20th! Tyler Kealey has been a staple of the live music scene in Ottawa since the early 2000s. Performing his piano-based pop act three to four times a week over the last decade has cemented his raw talent and ability to connect with live audiences into a formidable force, bringing originality to each performance. His latest album, And Somehow I Fell Upon This Place, is a journey from the dark to the light, a story dipping into emotion and intensity that’s both haunting and hopeful. Recorded at Operation Northwoods with renowned producer Darryl Neudorf, the songs range from gritty to smooth and incorporate pop piano with folk rock.

Amanda Giles - singer-songwriter, vegetable enthusiast, single momma bear of two, notoriously almost late and a lover of good home-cooked meals. After nearly two years since her last show, a night among friends and fellow songwriters is a fitting return to the stage for this barefoot bumpkin. Amanda joins us on March 20th!

As a founding member, guitarist, and songwriter with Prairie Oyster, Glass has received critical acclaim, including multiple Juno and CCMA awards. In 2008, Prairie Oyster was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame. Glass and his bandmates were also the recipients of SOCAN’s lifetime achievement songwriting award. In recent years, Glass has been busy producing albums for numerous Eastern Ontario artists including Brock Zeman, Erin Driscoll, Trevor Alguire, Missy Burgess, Brea Lawrenson, Rebekka Paige, and playing and singing on many others.

Meet Tariq Anwar, our featured artist on May 1st! Tariq Anwar's musical journey began in 2012, with a handful of songs at a handful of open mics in his hometown of Ottawa. His style does not fall easily into any single category, often straddling the lines between folk, grunge and blues. He combines guitars, a rhythm stomp box and harmonicas with a unique voice that can start out sweetly soft and then turn on a dime into a spine-melting scream. He writes songs about personal struggles and observations of downtown urban life. Tariq is the resident musician at Atomic Rooster, playing every Wednesday night since 2016.

Mindy Amelotte (who also goes by the stage name of Dynamite Motel) has been an active member of the Ottawa music scene since 2011, when she began by haunting open stages with her singular voice and rhythmic guitar playing. Mindy is a multi-instrumentalist who combines jazz, R&B, hip-hop and trip-hop influences with a heavy sprinkle of old-school blues, on top of sweet sultry vocals, to create a style that is uniquely her own. To date she has released 4 records and 1 live album and continues to write and record prolifically. She writes songs about life and love and heartbreak and romance. Mindy joins us on May 1st!

Brock Zeman is joining us for a special edition of the Tuesday Night Scene on September 18th. When it comes to storytelling, Brock Zeman is a master craftsman. The Canada-based singer-songwriter has spent the past 12 years carving and chiseling Americana soundscapes, drawing from roots-rock and alternative country. But what separates Zeman from his contemporaries isn’t a willingness to speak truth – it’s his unwillingness to conform to the rules of Nashville and the traditional framework of genre. What gives Zeman’s stories force isn’t that he’s just singing a narrative – he’s living it. Over the course of his career, Zeman has released 12 studio albums, one live record, toured North America extensively and received praise from numerous press outlets. “His songs have more depth than can be realized first time through, which only enhances with each listen,” wrote Penguin Eggs. Zeman has also won a slew of songwriting awards, including 2nd place at both 2016’s Unsigned Only Competition as well as the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) for his track “Pulling Your Sword Out Of The Devil’s Back.” In 2017 he returned to ISC as a finalist with his song “Dead Man’s Shoes.”
